We often hear the words data and information when one talks about computers. But what do these words mean? Let us see that now. Data is information that has not been processed. For ex. Imagine that there are 40 students in a class and we have the marks that scored by each one of them on their math test. This is data. But when this data is used and the average marks, the highest and the lowest marks in the class are calculated, the data becomes more meaningful to us and then it is called information.
