Minnie and Winnie (A lullaby)

Introduction and Activity

Today we are going to recite a poem named Minnie and Winnie written by Alfred lord Tennyson. This is a lullaby which a mother sings for her babies when they are feeling sleepy. So the first stanza is Minnie and Winnie slept in a shell. Sleep little ladies and they slept well. children can tell me which are the rhyming words from the first stanza? ok, so our poem tells us Minnie and Winnie are two friends and they are sleeping together comfortably in their shell. The second stanza is, Pink was the shell within, silver without. Sounds of the great sea, wandered about.
