Teacher: Children Let’s revise the grammar part. What is stress, Intonation, Sound, Consonant? Stress is the extra force used when pronouncing or saying a word or syllable. e.g. in the word English the syllable “eng” is stressed. In the sentence say it ‘in English’ the word English is stressed. Intonation; The rise and fall of voice that adds meaning to what is said.. e.g. The voice rises or goes up at the end in ‘You need coffee’? to show that it is a question. Sound: A sound is something that you hear. Consonant: a speech sound like ‘ब’’श’’ट्’ etc which is not a vowel. A constant letter is a letter that represents a constant sound e.g. the constant letter ‘c’(सी) stands for the sound ‘स’ in the city and ‘क’ in come. The constants are b c d f g h j k l m n p q r s t v w x y z. Teacher: Now look at the verbs shown on the screen. And divide them in Main verb, Auxiliary verb and Modal auxiliary.
