Children! Now try to answer my questions. Children tell me what role did the lighthouse play? Stu: The light of the lighthouse shining across the sea warn sailors at night of dangerous rocks. Tea: What efforts did Grace’s father take to educate his children? Stu: Grace’s father was a wise and educated man so he himself taught his children to read and write. Tea: What was Grace always unhappy about? Stu: Grace was always unhappy about the poor sailors who were at sea in the storm. Tea: What did Grace notice from her window? Stu: She looked out of her window and saw the storm was still blowing and some people were clinging on the rocks. Tea: How did Grace and her father come to the rocks? Stu: They took a boat and went in the storm. The boat went up and down over waves as high as hills. Sometimes it stood on one end, sometimes on the other end. It went up, up to the top of a wave and then down into a great valley between the waves. Every time they went down, the boat nearly went under the water. But little by little pulling with all their strength on the oars they came nearer the rocks. Tea: At the most, how many could the boat carry? Stu: At the most the boat could carry only 7 of them. Tea: How did the Darling family become famous? Stu: The passengers after returning to their homes told the story to their families and friends. The story of their heroism was printed in newspaper. This made them famous. Tea: Well done! Good answers. Tea: Children, now answer in short in your own words: Tea: She stayed back home, with her parents. WHO? Stu: Grace. Tea: A ship was wrecked that night. WHY? Stu: Because of the fierce storm. Tea: Nine men and women did not drown. WHY NOT? Stu: because they were able to climb on to a rock. Tea: Grace said she would help her father to rescue. HOW? Stu: By helping him to row the boat towards the rocks. Tea: Using all their strength to row, they came there. WHERE? Stu: They came close to the rocks. Tea: well done children!
